Whether you are an undergraduate or planning graduate school — if stars, data, or code fascinate you, get in touch.
Openings
Several master’s positions each year; PhD openings follow the department’s admission brochure for the year. Motivated undergraduates are welcome to join research training early.
What We Look For
- Genuine curiosity about astrophysics and hard problems;
- Some programming (Python preferred) or strong physics intuition — one of the two is enough, we help you build the other;
- Reading English literature and writing English emails; speaking can improve later;
- Self-discipline, honesty, and respect for data.
How the Group Runs
Hands-on advising with weekly group meetings; data and code are open within the group and cross-checking is encouraged; support for international collaborations and survey-team exchanges; careers after graduation are mostly academic, while transitions to industry are supported too.
