He received his PhD in astrophysics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013 and worked at the National Astronomical Observatories (CAS) before joining Xiangtan University, where he is now a professor. His Gaia × LAMOST spectral-identification series has discovered more than a thousand hot subdwarfs; his deep-learning method for atmospheric-parameter prediction has been accepted by ApJS (arXiv:2512.20185).
